It's all about the dye, baby. I've found that I get the brightest red when I use Special Effects (you can get it at most Hot Topics, or order it at various online retailers), and this particular shade is called Devilish. It is VURY red.

You should do it sometime! Even if you don't bleach it, it'll probably still come out pretty red.
