Whew! I signed up for all my classes without any issues! Which is kind of worrying...they'll probably all be dropped in a week. Or the servers will explode or something.
Am planning a picture update soon. Be prepared.

Just so this wasn't a complete waste of space, here's some ultra-cute:

metatronis: (Story of MY LIFE)
Here is something completely ridiculous for all y'all.
I'm sure most of you know about my expansive, tender flesh by now. Well, my friend pineapplegrl186Erin went to my Asian Art History class with me last week, and something occurred in our boredom. I stole her camera afterward and took pictures of it.

The next step after note passing )
metatronis: (Booooooks)
Wow, I have been asstasticly busy for the past few week. I finally passed the worst part of the schoolwork, though, and the semester is almost over. Jesus, it goes so fast when you're not paying attention. I think I bombed one of my classes, but the rest will probably be okay.
Okay. So. Catching up.
...I can't think of anything to say. I'm in the library right now, waiting to meet with one of my teachers to talk about declaring a minor. I'm gonna have to start declaring EVERYTHING soon. I don't see why I shouldn't be able to just shout my choice of major while standing on top of the student union and have that count, but alas, they force me to run around and do "paperwork". University fatcats!
I am making all the sense.

I have some interesting plans for summer. I will mention more later, when I really start to put them in motion. AND COMIC-CON WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOP
In terms of fun personal stuff, I plan to draw a lot this summer. I can taste the improvement to come if I just keeping practicing....and it is entirely delicious.

I also have things to post. That will happen at some point.

Post 6 very random facts about yourself, then you tag 6 people on your friend list to do the same:

1) First that comes to mind, as it affects me all the time, is my strange taste aversions. I have very picky tastes in food which, combined with being a vegetarian, narrows my options quite a bit. It's ridiculous sometimes, but I really can't help it. My strangest aversion is the combination of fruit and bread-like foods. I cannot physically handle the taste of any pie, cookie, cake or other bakery items that have fruit in them. I just can't do it. When I try, I start to gag and feel sick. Same rule applies to chocolate and fruit. As far as I know, I've always been this way. D:

2) My mom and dad first met at a punk rock concert in San Francisco. My dad's band was playing.

3) When I was little, I used to make up songs and sing them to the ocean.

4) I once created my own religion.

5) One time in preschool I held a boa constrictor around my neck. :D

6) My family has its own psychiatrist. What I mean by that is: when I was young and my OCD started to surface, I went to the same psychiatrist who treated both my mother (for bipolar disorder in her teenage years) and my uncle (for depression when he was in college). Isn't that sweet.

So, school starts pretty soon and I'm trying hard to finish up the book before it does.
I need some help from you all, though! Last year, when I was designing the covers for Funnily Enough, I asked some of my friends to give me quotes about my book so that I could put them on the back. None of them had actually read the book at the time, but that was the point. So they gave me random quotes:

"Spectrastic!" - Michael
"...novelmeats..." - Jean
"A provocative story of walruses, cheese nips, and delicious, delicious pants. It is a story of a man that will hold the test of time and money until the universe collapses upon itself and shows us what it's really made of. The gayness will explode your cranium, if that's your kind of thing." - Erin

And I put these on the back of the book...just for fun.
I want to do that again, but with more people!
So I'm asking, even if you never plan to look at either of my books, please make up a random quote and I'll put it on a page at the beginning or end of this next book, as long as it's not offensive or something. The title of the book is "Inexplicable", if that helps.

[Poll #911405]

I'd really appreciate any and all participation! I won't be formatting the book 'til at least thursday, so that should be plenty of time.
Thank you!

Christmas was more or less good times. I didn't exactly tell my grandparents what I wanted, so I got more gift cards than I have before, but that's all groovy. I got many cool things from my friends, cause they are awesome like that. The past couple of days have been spent watching the fourth season of Scrubs, goofing off and fearing the wind.
A few days ago, a couple of my friends came to my mom's house to visit. The occurrences therein consisted of: figuring out how to drive my mom's car at night in the rain, fast food adventures, realizing that the emergency brake had suddenly decided to work and then stop again, hawt pr0nz, tamales, wasting time with Super Smash Brothers, blowing eggs, crazy sleep speak, uncomfortable sleep positions which resulted in little to no actual sleep, sitting on tea, drowning in clothes, waiting for Dustin to go to his friend's house to get the keys to his own house, gay dogs who hit their head on chairs, being invaded by an army of ants, watching mah gays kill said ants, major redecorating, sleeping next to a snake, listening to music through a tiger's head, going out to dinner with other friends and making fools out of the world, and the spilling of FOUR beverages over the course of that 24 hour period (by me. Yes, I know).
I also talked to someone today (who I'd met a few times before), and found out that I may have more immediately in common with this person than anyone I've ever met, which is awesome.
Oh, and my grades don't suck too much! Yay!

This stupid history exam is making me stupid with the stupid. God, and logic too. Stupid PL. I don't need no crazy logic language.
I will be so happy tomorrow when I get home and will no longer have to worry about these stupid, stupid things. Stupid.

I am on track with Nano! That is good times! I'd post a fun wordcount bar but I only have a few minutes before I have to go back to studying stupid history stupid dumb dumb dumb.

And a late happy birthday to my precious wife, murcianobabyDjuna. Joy, joy and more joy to you, love.
metatronis: (Squirrel go bye-bye)
Things to be happening before November:
- Finish writing Dani's story
- Finish drawing Dani's picture
- Keep planning for Nano
- Clean desk for Nano (ohgodohgodohgod)
- Kill for Nano?

I woke up on time today. It was wonderful and awful. D:

How am I so lame that I injured myself with PUMPKIN? And no, not the stem. The pumpkin itself. Ah crickets.

Heroooes is on tonight. Delicious, delicious heroooes. I hope no one steals MY brain any time soon.

RAIN OMGGGG
Finally. Guh.
This morning I woke up a half hour late and remembered I had a math exam. Ooooops. I got to class 3 minutes late, which is actually pretty awesome.
My classes really aren't so bad. They're not really super-fun (except design) but they're easy, and although I enjoy challenges sometimes, I LIKE EASY.

Suddenly, political ad campaigns. Hundreds of them.
All over the TV. Just...going back and forth and back and forth, like children fighting. I enjoy this.

*throws back a handful of White Rabbits*

Ooh, and Jean's return is imminent! Much talk of buttsecks and bicycles shall be had this weekend.

Life is pretty shweet at the moment. It will probably change soon, but here's hoping the good times last for a few more minutes.

Oh Wow

Aaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhh, meat.
School actually hasn't been too bad. It could certainly be worse, so I'm fairly happy right now.
I've been getting rather nervous about November, though. I'm definitely trying NaNoWriMo again this year, and I hope I'll make it.
The past few months I've been writing down ideas and I came up with one today that I really like.

For anyone who might be interested, or who read Funnily Enough, I will say this:
- the story will feature a lot of Mark, including information about his origin and species
- it will include old characters and new ones
- Jeremy and you-know-who will have a vital role
- the tentative title is "As A Candle To The Stars".
That's all I can say right now. Hopefully I won't explode or anything before November.
metatronis: (Tension)
I've seen more movies this month than I have during most of summer, which is DUMB. Today I saw Idlewild, and I must say that I enjoyed it quite a bit. What it lacked in original plot, it made up for in presentation and interesting visuals. And the music was pretty good too. Unless you hate Outkast, in which case you probably shouldn't be seeing it anyways, you crazy ho.
GAAAH, I wanted to draw more this weekend, but instead I just stayed in my room a lot and had a season two House marathon. I'm such a dumb.
Oh yeah, and my classes seem hard and sucky so far, which means I might have to do actual studying this semester. Craaap.

Gaaaaaaaaaah, school starts tomorrow. Dummbbb. My classes this semester don't look too great, but I'll push through it. And I'll be trying Nano again in November, so that's something to...er...look forward to.

I've been busy making the best out of the end of summer. I managed to do quite a bit this summer, even if I didn't get a job yet. I've been drawing more, and I think I've gotten much better than I was last summer. I at least have some experience with color now, which is something I've always wanted. I also made at least three comics! Well, I worked on three comics. I haven't finished all of them.
I got a juror summons last week, and had to send in my school information to get it postponed. I also got an overlay for a large hole in one of my back teeth, but it's very fragile, so I can't chew on hard things with that side of my fffface anymore.
Scrubs is coming to Comedy Central. That is cah-ray-zee.

Also, NEW MP3 PLAYER!! Yaaaaaaay! I love it a looottt. Ever since my iPod broke (and the replacements broke), I've been rather musicless outside of the computer and car, so I finally decided to get a Zen Vision:M. It's so awesome! It's 30GB, stores pictures and videos, and has an FM radio built in.

Isn't she beautiful?? Ignore my freakishly shaped thumb, pls.
SAUCY!
metatronis: (Nudity is fun!)
Just one more day before I'm done with my classes. Aside from finals, of course, but those don't count. I can't wait to have summer get togethers. I know that sounds lame, but my backyard is awesome for summer activities.

Gah, my birthday is coming up so fast! I think I'm getting a new laptop, which would be great seeing as how more pieces of this one come off every time I use it.

I still don't know exactly what's going to happen this summer, but it'd better be fun times, or I'm going to punch the world in the face.
Plus! Reminder: if you want me to make my story available for free download, just ask. I have time to concentrate on other things now, so I need...stuff to do. Yar.

Oh gaawd

I'm so distracted in my classes and I can't help it. I swear, I'm going to fail if I can't keep it togethhher.

Best classes: Evolution, Sci-Fi/Fantasy.

Sci-Fi/Fantasy is going to be challenging, but omg fun. It's like someone took out a huge nerd magnet to draw as many nerds as they could into one classroom. Also, the professor asked us all why we signed up for the class, and apparently I'm the only female there who's more interested in sci-fi than fantasy. I didn't know that was so rare. I was amused.
And it's also great to be in a class where, when I mention MST3K, more than two people know what the hell I'm talking about.

Evolution is pure sex, and made even better by the fact that I remember a lot of the basics from my high school anthro class. I can still spell Australopithecines correctly without hesitation, G. Adding to that knowledge will be fun times for everyone. Except, of course, that guy I overheard saying, "that was the most boring lecture I've ever heard".
NEWSFLASH! If pictures and/or discussions of fossils and apes bore you, you might find a class on evolution to be a tad...boring!

School starts today! I think I'll be able to readjust my sleeping schedule without too much trouble.
Going to bed at 10 in the morning and waking up at 5 in the evening is...not good.

My classes look pretty good on paper. Here's hoping they're not too disappointing.

Maybe I'll even update more, since it seems like I'm only able to do so when I have less free time. What? Huh.
